the standard
1.will this ups provide continuous power in the case of a power outage?
This GoldenMate UPS instantly switches to battery power, when the main power goes out. The average transfer time is 8 milliseconds, and most connected devices do not experience any interruption in power.
2.how long will the ups power my systems after the power goes out?
The backup time depends on the connected devices' voltage and current consumption. This UPS is estimated to run for 30 minutes at half load, 10 minutes for a full load.
3.what does the lcd display show? can it be turned off?
The LCD display shows the "input" and "output" voltage levels and the remaining battery capacity. It remains off when the device is using utility power and illuminates during backup mode.
4.does the ups produce beeping sounds while operating?
The device emits a beep every 10 seconds when it starts operating. Pressing a button can silence it. It continuously alerts with an alarm when the battery level drops below 25%.
5.will the ups automatically switch off from the battery backup when power is restored?
Yes, when adequate power is restored to the UPS and is within the operating voltage range of the UPS, it will revert o passing utility power to connected electronics.
6.can i plug the ups to an extension cord or does it have to be plugged in to a wall outlet?
In order for your UPS to get the best power available, it should be plugged directly into the wall outlet. Plugging your UPS into a surge protector may cause the UPS to go to battery often when it normally should remain offline.
7.can it be used with a refrigerator or a microwave oven?
No, it is not suitable for powering refrigerators, microwave ovens, or electric recliners. It is designed for electronic products like networking and computer systems.
8.can this unit run a sump pump, laser printer, or other larger office equipment?
We do not recommend using the GoldenMate UPS to power sump pumps, laser printers, paper shredders, space heaters or other large electrical devices. The power demands of these devices may overload the unit and cause damage.
9.can the battery be replaced?
The backup battery used in GoldenMate UPS is a 9Ah lithium iron phosphate battery, which has a service life of more than 10 years and does not need to be replaced during normal use.
